Terrific Green Kitchen Gift Ideas!

Before You Start Shopping, Read This!

Keeping the Green in Green Gift-Giving

What’s the ideal gift? The one that leaves the least impact. So consider this list as a (sustainably-focused) supplement to the more eco-friendly ways of gift giving.

Gift Giving Guide. See Green That Life’s Gift Giving Guide for an in-depth overview of sustainable shopping tips, eco-friendly gift wrapping options, ways to minimize packaging and waste, and eco-friendly gift ideas for everyone on your gift list.

Gift Giving with a Cause. See Green That Life’s post on Gifts for Good that Support Environmental Causes for tips and gift ideas that give back.

The Logic Behind This Gift List

In selecting these green kitchen gift ideas I’ve followed these guidelines:

  • Price. Identifying (mostly!) reasonably-priced products that your gift recipient will love.
  • Minimizing Waste. Selecting products that avoid generating waste in every aspect of production.
  • Reputation. Researching the brand to ensure they receive high marks for circular-focused and sustainable business practices. This list references a number of certifications and eco-partnerships. For detailed descriptions of reputable certification organizations and why they’re important, see Green That Life’s post on greenwashing and how to avoid it.
